Bluetooth Capabilities: CropX Sensor and the App

The Bluetooth capabilities of CropX sensors allow you to connect a sensor to your mobile device while in the field.

Connecting to your sensor via Bluetooth provides several tools to help troubleshoot and verify sensor readings. These tools help ensure your sensor is working correctly so you can leave the worksite with peace of mind.

What You Can Do with Bluetooth:

  1. Installation Transmission Verification: Checks whether the sensor successfully measured a transmission from the installation location.
  2. Sensor Diagnostics: Allows you to instantly check an installed sensor’s measurements, battery status, and transmission to confirm they are appropriate.
  3. Download Data: Downloads data from the sensor and uploads it to the cloud.
  4. Pre-installation Sensor Diagnostics: Allows you to instantly check a hibernating sensor’s measurements, battery status, and transmission to confirm they are adequate prior to installation.
  5. Network Change: Allows you to change the network the sensor connects to, in case the automatically connected network isn't strong enough.
  6. BLE Scanner: Scans for Bluetooth devices in the area to help locate sensors.
  7. Restore Factory: Fixes incorrect Bluetooth names or Access Point Names in the unit.
