Notification Settings in the CropX app are an important part of communications between CropX and our customers. They are also important for dealer grower communications. Good communication can mean the difference between a successful season and not.
The app will notify the user of important things like recommendations, hardware status, soil water status, and permission changes.
Notifications can be delivered in 3 ways, Push notifications, SMS (also known as text messages), and Email. Push notifications will be on by default if allowed when the app is downloaded.
To turn on SMS and email, click on the menu button, Account Settings, then under Profile, click Notifications. Here you can add as many different email addresses or phone numbers as the user needs. This works well for growers that have multiple people as part of their operation.
To add a phone number or email click the add button, type in the phone number and a name, and then Submit. A code will be sent to your phone or email to confirm setup. This should happen within a few seconds. Type in the code on your screen. Now we are all set up to receive notifications.
Access your notification history by clicking on the Bell from the Home page.
