How to Set Up or Edit Roles and Their Permissions
Roles and Permissions can be adjusted on the Web, in the Account Settings, Roles & Permissions tab.
Field permissions are editable only if you have owner permissions. To edit permissions, click Manage which will appear next to the Farm name if you’re the owner.
Role Breakdown
Dealer: Can create fields, install sensors, and send recommendations to an owner’s field. This role has complete edit access to any Farm or Field it’s a Dealer of and can also create/edit/delete calendar events. Dealers cannot edit field permissions.
Owner: The field creator, and usually the grower, can edit field permissions, install sensors, edit fields, view, comment on, and Like recommendations, and create/edit/delete calendar events.
Operator: Can install sensors, edit fields, can send and view recommendations and create/edit/delete calendar events. An Operator cannot create fields or edit field permissions for someone else’s field.
Viewer: View-only access to fields, recommendations, and calendar events.

If you are a dealer or managing someone's fields, our recommended Best Practice is to setup the Grower as the Owner and set yourself with the “Dealer” permissions. This will allow you to create fields under the grower's farm, edit the field characteristics, install or deactivate sensors in those fields, as well as send recommendations.
