Troubleshooting Q&A

Q: Why do I only see the average stress score and not the full Vision results?

The average stress score is always shown at the end of every session, even without a subscription. Full Vision results require the session to be successfully linked to a field that is eligible for Vision access.

Possible reasons full results are locked:

  • The session could not be linked to a field

  • You do not have permission for the field

  • The field does not have Vision eligibility

  • The subscription acreage limit was exceeded

Q: Why wasn’t my session linked to a field?

A session can only be linked if:

  1. The session GPS location falls inside a field boundary

  2. The user who created the session has enough acres in their subscription for that field

If either condition fails, the session becomes an unlinked session and full Vision results remain locked.

Common causes:

  • The field boundary is missing or incorrect

  • The session was recorded outside the field boundary

  • GPS accuracy issues

  • The field has not been created yet

  • The user does not have access to the field

Q: What permissions are required to unlock Vision results?

The user who created the session must have access to the field as one of the following:

  • Owner

  • Dealer

  • Operator

If the user does not have one of these permissions, the session cannot link to the field and results remain locked.

Q: Can sessions created in offline mode still work?

Yes. Sessions created offline are uploaded automatically once the device reconnects to the internet. If you're having connectivity issues, we recommend turning your phone onto airplane mode, which will clearly let the app know that you're offline.

After connecting to the internet again and uploading, the system attempts to:

  1. Match the session to a field

  2. Verify permissions

  3. Check subscription eligibility

If any of those checks fail, the results stay locked.

Q: Why does the app say the session is “unlinked”?

An unlinked session means the system could not associate the session with a valid field.

This usually happens because:

  • No field exists at that GPS location

  • The field boundary does not contain the session

  • The user lacks permission for the field

Since subscriptions are field-based, unlinked sessions cannot verify subscription eligibility.

Q: I created a field after a session. Will the data unlock later?

Yes. The system periodically rechecks unlinked sessions.

If:

  • a new field is created later, or

  • permissions are updated,

the system will attempt to relink the session automatically.

If the session becomes linked to an eligible field, the full Vision results can unlock.

Q: What happens if I have no fields at all?

If no fields exist in the account, all sessions remain unlinked.

You must first create a field before sessions can be linked and evaluated for subscription eligibility.

Q: What makes a field eligible for full Vision results?

After a session is linked to a field, a field must meet at least one of these conditions:

  • The field owner has an active CropX Vision subscription

  • The field has an ET Sensor

  • The field has a Tule Tower

If none of these apply, the results remain locked.

Q: Why is my field locked even though I have a Vision subscription?

The subscription may have exceeded its purchased acreage limit.

Vision subscriptions include a fixed number of paid acres. Only Vision Fields without ET sensors or Tule Towers count toward the limit.

If adding a new field causes the total acreage to exceed the subscription quota:

  • the new field becomes locked

  • history and full results are unavailable

  • only the average stress score is shown

Q: Do ET Sensor fields count toward Vision subscription acreage?

No.

Fields with:

  • an active ET Sensor, or

  • a Tule Tower

do not count toward Vision paid acreage and remain unlocked.

Q: How can a locked field be unlocked after acreage is exceeded?

You must upgrade to a larger Vision acreage package.

Example:

  • Purchased subscription = 50 acres

  • Field A = 40 acres → unlocked

  • Field B = 20 acres → total becomes 60 acres

Since usage exceeds the purchased acreage:

  • Field B becomes locked

If Field B had an ET Sensor or Tule Tower, it would not count toward acreage usage and would remain unlocked.

Q: Why can another user see the Vision data, but I cannot?

Vision access depends on the permissions of the specific user wants to see the session.

Even if the field itself is valid:

  • users without proper field permissions cannot unlock the results

  • sessions they create may remain unlinked or locked

Verify that you have Owner, Dealer, or Operator access to the field.
