Understanding CropX Vision Subscriptions and Access

Understanding CropX Vision Subscriptions and Access

This article explains who can take Vision readings, what is available for free, and how subscriptions unlock full results.

WHAT ANYONE CAN DO — NO SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED

There are no restrictions on who can take Vision readings. Any user with the CropX Vision app can:
  1. Start and complete a session at any time
  2. See the average stress score at the end of every session
The average score is always shown, regardless of subscription status.

WHAT A SUBSCRIPTION UNLOCKS

Full results — including session history, individual vine photos, and detailed readings — are only available when a session is linked to a field that has one of the following:
  1. An active CropX Vision subscription
  2. An ET sensor installed in the field
  3. A Tule Tower on the field
If none of these apply, session results are locked.

HOW SESSIONS GET LINKED TO FIELDS

After a session uploads, the system automatically checks the GPS location of the reading, and tries to match it to a CropX field in your account. For a session to link:
  1. The session’s GPS location must fall within a field boundary in your account.
  2. You must have the correct permission for that field (Owner, Dealer, or Operator role).
If both conditions are met, the session links to the field and subscription eligibility is checked. If the GPS doesn’t match a field, or you don’t have the right permission, the session becomes an unlinked session.

UNLINKED SESSIONS

An unlinked session means the system couldn’t find a matching field at that GPS location, or you don’t have permission for the field. In this case:
You see the average score, but full results are locked
The system automatically re-checks every hour
If a field is created at that location later, or permissions change, the session will link automatically
You can tap the link in the app to create a new field, request access, or contact support

ACREAGE-BASED SUBSCRIPTIONS

CropX Vision subscriptions are priced by acreage. You purchase a set number of acres, and that quota covers all your Vision fields up to that total.
Notes
Note: Fields with an ET sensor or Tule Tower never count against your paid acreage quota. You can monitor those fields at no extra cost.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU EXCEED YOUR ACREAGE

Once your total Vision field acreage exceeds your purchased quota, any new field you add becomes locked. To unlock it, upgrade to a larger acreage package. The average score at the end of each session is still always shown.

HOW TO GET ACCESS

  1. Contact CropX support at support@cropx.com.
  2. Purchase a subscription for the number of acres you want to cover.
  3. Once the order is processed, your subscription activates automatically.
