In order to manually adjust the management zone for a sensor, you’ll need to open the Water Holding Capacity (WHC) feature on the web, and adjust each depth. If you have more than one sensor in a field, you’ll need to adjust the depths for each sensor.
Note that the management zone is set to the “Automatic Status” by default, which means that the system automatically determines the best management zone lines for each depth of each sensor.
To Edit the Management Zone:
Enter the web app
Enter the field of the sensor you want to adjust
In the Graphs tab, select the sensor’s graphs
Open the Moisture (%VWC) graph in Full Screen mode
Select Water Holding Capacity from the top right area of your screen
Here, you’ll see that you can adjust the Field Capacity (FC), Wilting Point (WP), and Refill Point (RP) for a sensor’s depths
- To add your own values, turn the Automatic State toggle off, and add your value(s).
- For the same sensor, you can have a one depth left as automatic state and another as manually adjusted.
- When you add field capacity and wilting point boundaries, it will automatically calculate the refill point as the average between the two, but you can also manually override that value and add your own refill value.
Regarding Set Points on the Profile Sum graph:
- If your set points for the profile sum are set to auto-set points and you manually change the WHC values, it may or may not change the profile sum set point values, depending on how much you change the WHC values.
- If your set points for the profile sum are set to auto-set points and you manually change the WHC values, the auto-set points toggle will remain ON.
- If your profile sum is already set to manual and you’ve adjusted those numbers and then change the WHC values to manual, the original profile sum values will NOT change.
