How to Create and Manage Rootzone Setpoints

How to Create and Manage Rootzone Setpoints

This article will explain how to properly determine and set root zone setpoints in the CropX App.

Video Guide

Step By Step Instructions

1. Determine the root zone depth you would like to use.  If you have already input your crop information, then the app can help you determine that value

2. Use the %VWC graph to determine your max field capacity for all sensor depths

3. Take the values from steps 1 and 2 and use them to fill out the Root Zone Sum calculation Excel sheet attached to this article.  You'll have to download it first.

4. Go to the Sensor Data tab and find the Root zone sum graph.  You'll want to click the green setpoints button

5.  Enter the values you calculated on the spreadsheet in Step 3

6.  Save your changes and review the graph to make sure the full and refill points align with the moisture usage within the newly calculated root zone
